The next spike

Take a deep breath – grab tight to your mask –
the other shoe is ready to drop
We may have to take this again from the top
though we know damn well it’s a bit of an ask

The future is coming, can’t recycle the past
we don’t want to get caught again on the hop
Take a deep breath – grab tight to your mask –
the other shoe is ready to drop

We’ll nail our colours hard to the mast:
if we can we’ll take it again from the top
it’s all in aid of saving the shop –

We’ll hold on hard and hold on fast
so take a deep breath – grab tight to your mask –
the other shoe is ready to drop.
