it’s all such a giveaway,
isn’t it

it’s all of what you mean at once
it’s none of what you mean at all

it’s
all of the days
I hide things from my sister

it’s all of the days my sister hides things from me

it’s the things my mother says sometimes
things she was told in a different context and now as she tells them;

it’s the confusion, the sadness

it’s making sense of all the women in my life;
the ones who have treated me well
and the ones who haven’t.
